What We Build

Which AI and Software Services Do Dutch Clients Use?

One team for the AI, the software around it and the data and cloud it runs on.

  • Logistics AI

Document AI for shipping paperwork, ETA prediction and tracking assistants.

  • Manufacturing AI

Vision-based quality inspection, maintenance data and production document automation.

  • Generative AI Apps

Knowledge assistants and drafting tools grounded in your own documents, in Dutch and English.

  • AI Agents

Agents that handle back-office workflows end to end, with human review where it matters.

  • Data and Analytics

Pipelines, warehouses and dashboards that make your data ready for AI.

  • Custom Software

Portals and internal tools that replace spreadsheets and manual steps.

How It Works

How Does an Engagement With a Dutch Team Run?

India Standard Time is 3.5 hours ahead of the Netherlands in summer (CEST) and 4.5 hours ahead in winter (CET).

  1. Free Consultation

A video call in your working hours with a senior engineer about your goal, data and systems.

  2. Data and Overlap Plan

We agree the EU hosting region, a data processing agreement, transfer terms with your legal team and a daily overlap window.

  3. Scoped Pilot

A fixed-scope pilot, such as one document workflow or a knowledge assistant, tested on real cases.

  4. Build in Shared Hours

Daily standups in shared hours, written updates and a weekly demo on staging.

  5. Launch and Support

Rollout with monitoring, AI documentation and support. On-site visits for kickoff or workshops can be arranged when needed.

Delivery Model

How Does Aaga Compare With the Typical Large IT Services Model?

Large consulting and IT services firms are the right fit for pan-European transformation and very large outsourcing programs. For focused AI and software builds, a lean, AI-native team is often faster and more affordable.

What Does an AI Development Company for Dutch Businesses Do?

An AI development company designs, builds and runs AI systems and the software around them. For companies in the Netherlands, that usually means AI agents for document-heavy operations, knowledge assistants grounded in internal documents, Dutch and English customer assistants, and custom software with AI built in.

Aaga is an AI-native engineering and IT services company based in India. Aaga already serves clients in the Netherlands and has 100+ clients across the USA, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Dubai (UAE) and India. You work directly with the senior engineers building your system, starting with a free consultation and a scoped pilot.

Where Is AI Demand Strongest in the Netherlands?

Dutch demand is strongest in sectors that run on documents, data and tight operations:

  • Logistics and freight. Shipping documents, customs paperwork, ETAs and tracking questions. See AI for logistics.
  • High-tech manufacturing and agri-food. Quality inspection, maintenance data and production paperwork.
  • Financial services and payments. Onboarding documents, transaction monitoring support and customer service.
  • E-commerce and retail. Support agents in Dutch and English, returns and product content.
  • Energy. Customer service automation and asset and maintenance data.

How Do We Design for GDPR (AVG) and the Dutch DPA?

In the Netherlands, GDPR is known as the AVG (Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming), with Dutch implementation rules in the UAVG. The Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), supervises it and also coordinates supervision of algorithms and AI. Aaga designs systems to support compliance:

  1. Minimization and purpose. Collect and process only what each use case needs, with retention rules.
  2. Processor terms. A data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) where Aaga acts as your processor.
  3. Security. Role-based access, encryption, secrets management and audit logs, through our application security practice.
  4. DPIAs. Technical input for data protection impact assessments on AI and other high-risk processing.
  5. Transfers. India has no EU adequacy decision, so remote access from India is limited and covered by a mechanism such as the EU standard contractual clauses, agreed with your legal team.

Outbound voice AI also needs care: Dutch telemarketing rules generally require opt-in consent for calls to consumers who are not existing customers.

What about the EU AI Act?

The EU AI Act entered into force in 2024, and its obligations phase in over several years, starting with prohibited practices and AI literacy and moving on to general-purpose AI models, transparency and high-risk systems. Some timelines have been subject to EU-level proposals for change, so your legal team should confirm current dates. Aaga builds with practices that help either way: documented data sources, evaluations before go-live, logging, human oversight and clear notices when people interact with AI.

Data residency in EU cloud regions

Your data can stay in the EU, including in the Netherlands: Microsoft Azure West Europe and Google Cloud's Netherlands region are both in the country, and AWS offers EU regions such as Frankfurt and Ireland. Deployments run in accounts you own.

How Does Time-Zone Overlap Work With Dutch Teams?

India Standard Time (UTC+5:30) has no daylight saving time, so the gap with the Netherlands moves when European summer time starts and ends.

Dutch period India is ahead by 9:00 a.m. Dutch time in India 2:00 p.m. Dutch time in India
CEST (late March to late October) 3.5 h 12:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m.
CET (late October to late March) 4.5 h 1:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.

Most of your morning and early afternoon is shared, which leaves room for daily standups, working sessions and demos. Billing currency, payment terms and IP ownership are agreed in the contract, and our offshore software development page covers the communication cadence in more detail.

Why a Lean, AI-Native Partner?

Large consulting and IT services firms remain the better fit for pan-European transformation and very large outsourcing programs. Aaga is built for focused AI and software builds that need to ship, with a lean, senior team and its own platform for workflows, permissions, integrations and AI agents. If you are weighing a large consulting firm, see how Aaga compares for UK and EU projects for an honest look at the two delivery models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Aaga already serves clients in the Netherlands, alongside the USA, Canada, the UK, Dubai (UAE) and India. Aaga is based in India and runs Dutch engagements remotely, with a fixed daily overlap window and weekly demos.

India Standard Time is UTC+5:30 and has no daylight saving, so India is 3.5 hours ahead of the Netherlands in summer (CEST) and 4.5 hours ahead in winter (CET). A 9:00 a.m. start in Amsterdam is 12:30 p.m. in India in summer and 1:30 p.m. in winter, so your morning and early afternoon overlap our working day.

We design systems to support GDPR compliance: data minimization, purpose limits, role-based access, encryption, retention rules, audit logs and tools for data subject requests. Where Aaga acts as your processor, a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) is agreed in the contract, and we give your team the technical input for DPIAs. Your legal team owns lawful basis and policies.

Yes. We can deploy in EU regions in accounts you own, including Microsoft Azure West Europe and Google Cloud's Netherlands region, or AWS regions such as Frankfurt or Ireland. Remote access from India is a transfer outside the EU, so we minimize it and agree a mechanism such as the EU standard contractual clauses with your legal team.

We build AI systems with the practices the AI Act points toward: documented data sources, risk notes, evaluations before go-live, logging, human oversight and clear notices when people interact with AI. The Act's obligations phase in over several years and some dates have been subject to EU-level proposals for change, so your legal team should confirm which duties apply to you and when.

Yes. We build voice and chat assistants that work in Dutch and English and switch between them. Speech quality varies by accent and line quality, so we test with your real calls and messages during the pilot.

Billing currency, invoicing schedule, payment terms, IP ownership and the data processing agreement are agreed in the contract before work starts. Most Dutch clients begin with a fixed-scope pilot, then move to milestone projects or a dedicated team.
