Financial Services Challenges We Help Solve
Financial services run on documents, checks and follow-ups. Most of that work is repetitive, and all of it has to be traceable.
Document-heavy onboarding
Ops teams read and re-key PAN, address proofs, bank statements, payslips, ITRs and GST returns, which slows approvals and invites errors.
Rising fraud attempts
Tampered documents, synthetic identities and mule accounts are harder to spot by eye as volumes grow.
Costly collections
Reminder and early-bucket collection calls take large teams, and conduct has to stay within regulatory and internal rules.
Repetitive service queries
Balance, EMI, statement, foreclosure and policy-status questions flood branches, call centers and inboxes.
Compliance and audit pressure
Every decision, call and data access needs a record that internal audit and regulators can follow.
Where AI Fits in BFSI Workflows
AI does the reading, checking and calling. Credit, fraud and policy decisions stay with your people and your rules.
KYC and document AI
Classify and extract data from identity, address and income documents, check consistency across them and flag likely tampering.
Lending and underwriting support
Parse bank statements to summarize income, obligations and bounce patterns, and assemble a structured file for the credit officer.
Fraud and risk signals
Score applications and transactions for anomalies, device and identity mismatches, and route high-risk cases to investigators.
Collections voice agents
Pre-due reminders and early-bucket calls that capture promise-to-pay, share payment links and escalate disputes to agents.
Customer service assistants
Answer account, loan, card and policy questions on chat, WhatsApp and phone from approved content and live account data.
Insurance claims intake
Collect claim details and documents, check them against policy terms and prepare a clean file for the claims assessor.
Financial Services AI and Software We Build
Each solution links to the service behind it. Most institutions start with one document type or one call flow.

Compliance-Aware Delivery, Step by Step
Workflow and risk review
We map the workflow, the systems involved and the regulatory and internal rules that apply, with your risk and compliance owners in the room.
Controls design
We agree on data residency, masking, access roles, consent, human approval points, audit logs and how model outputs are explained.
Scoped pilot
We build one flow, such as bank-statement analysis or pre-due reminder calls, on sample or consented data.
Parallel run
The system runs alongside your current process so your teams can compare results, review errors and sign off.
Go live with monitoring
We launch on a share of volume, monitor accuracy, drift and conduct, and extend to more products or channels.
A Lean BFSI Team vs the Large-Program Model
Large IT services firms are a strong fit for core-banking replacements and multi-country programs. Focused AI workflows often move faster with a smaller senior team.
| Aaga | Typical large IT services model | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical scope | One workflow or product line, then extend | Enterprise-wide programs and core-system projects |
| Who you work with | Senior engineers who build the system | Account and delivery managers between you and the build team |
| How you start | Free consultation, then a scoped pilot | Discovery phases and long contracts before build |
| Pricing | Scoped to the workflow, affordable for NBFCs and fintechs | Priced for large enterprise programs |
Comparison describes typical delivery models, not any specific company.
What Is AI for Financial Services?
AI for financial services is the use of document AI, language models, voice agents and machine learning to automate onboarding, underwriting support, fraud detection, collections and customer service in banks, NBFCs, fintechs and insurers. The value is speed and consistency on high-volume work. The requirement is control: every step must be explainable, logged and reversible.
Aaga is an AI-native engineering company. We build AI workflows and the software around them, and we design for your risk, compliance and audit teams from the first conversation.
Which BFSI Workflows Should You Automate First?
Start with work that is high-volume, rule-based and easy to check.
| Workflow | What AI does | Human control point |
|---|---|---|
| KYC document checks | Classifies, extracts, cross-checks fields, flags tampering | Ops reviews exceptions |
| Bank-statement analysis | Summarizes income, EMIs, bounces, cash patterns | Credit officer decides |
| Fraud signals | Scores applications and transactions for anomalies | Investigator confirms |
| Pre-due and early collections | Calls, reminds, captures promise-to-pay, sends links | Agents handle disputes and hardship |
| Service queries | Answers from approved content and live data | Staff handle complaints |
KYC and document AI
Document AI reads identity, address and income documents, extracts fields, compares them across documents and against what the applicant entered, and flags signs of editing. Where rules require masking, such as for Aadhaar numbers in India, only the masked form is stored. Clean files move straight through; exceptions go to a reviewer with the reason highlighted.
Lending and underwriting support
For lenders, bank-statement analysis is one of the most valuable first projects. The system parses PDF and scanned statements, categorizes transactions, and summarizes salary credits, existing EMIs, bounced payments and cash patterns into a structured view. The credit officer gets a ready file instead of a stack of PDFs.
Fraud and risk signals
We build anomaly and risk-scoring models on application, device, transaction and behavioral data. They don't block customers on their own. They raise signals, explain what triggered them and route cases to your fraud team, who confirm or dismiss them. That feedback improves the next model version.
Collections voice agents
A collections voice agent is an AI system that places reminder and early-delinquency calls, verifies the customer, explains the amount due, records a promise-to-pay and sends a payment link by SMS or WhatsApp. It follows approved scripts, calling-hour windows and frequency limits, never uses pressure tactics, and transfers disputes, hardship cases and complaints to a human. See how we build voice AI agents.
How Do You Build Compliance-Aware AI?
Compliance-aware means the system is designed around the rules that apply to you, and evidence is produced as it runs. We work with your compliance and risk owners to apply requirements such as RBI's KYC and digital lending guidance and the DPDP Act in India, or GLBA, ECOA and Regulation B, the TCPA and, for third-party collectors, the FDCPA and Regulation F in the US. This is general information, not legal advice. In practice:
- Data residency and minimization: hosting in your required region, masking before AI processing, self-hosted models where needed
- Access control: role-based permissions, maker-checker approvals and least-privilege service accounts
- Audit trail: every document, prompt, model output, call and human override logged with timestamps
- Explainability: reason codes and source highlights on every flag or score
- Model governance: documented training data, validation results and monitoring for drift and bias
We don't claim regulatory approval or certification on your behalf. We give your teams the controls and documentation to assess the system.
Which Systems Do You Integrate With?
AI in a bank or NBFC is only useful if it fits the existing stack. We connect to loan origination and loan management systems, core banking and policy administration systems, CRMs and dialers, payment gateways and mandate platforms, credit bureau and verification APIs, and India's Account Aggregator framework for consented bank data. Where a legacy system has no API, we use secure file exchange or database views agreed with your IT team, and every integration is documented for audit.
Why Financial Institutions Choose Aaga
- Senior engineers, directly. The people you meet are the people building your system.
- Start small. One document type or one call flow as a scoped pilot, then extend.
- Own platform. Workflows, permissions, maker-checker approvals, integrations and AI agents come from Aaga's own platform, so they aren't rebuilt from scratch.
- Affordable. Lower cost than large IT services firms for comparable scope, which matters for NBFCs and growing fintechs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common uses are KYC and document extraction, bank-statement analysis for lending, fraud and anomaly detection, collections and reminder calls, customer service assistants and insurance claims intake. Aaga builds these as workflows connected to your existing systems, with human review at the decision points.
We build AI that extracts, summarizes and scores, and we recommend that credit decisions stay with your credit policy and your people. Any model used in decisions should be explainable, tested for bias and approved through your model-risk process. In the US, for example, ECOA and Regulation B require specific reasons when credit is denied, even when a complex model is used.
We design them to follow the rules you give us: approved scripts, calling-hour windows, frequency limits, identity checks before discussing an account, disclosures, recording and escalation on disputes. These are configured with your compliance team against the rules that apply to you, such as RBI's fair practices and recovery conduct guidance in India, or the TCPA and, for third-party collectors, the FDCPA and Regulation F in the US. This is general information, not legal advice.
Where your regulations and policies require. We deploy on cloud regions in India or your country, or on your own infrastructure, and we can use self-hosted models when data must not leave your environment. Sensitive identifiers are masked before they reach any AI model that doesn't need them.
We integrate with loan origination and management systems, core banking and policy admin systems, CRMs, dialers, payment gateways and bureau or verification APIs, plus India's Account Aggregator framework where relevant. We confirm the routes during the first workflow review.
No. We build software and AI tools for regulated institutions. Any customer-facing guidance the AI gives is limited to content your institution has approved, and advice-related queries are routed to licensed staff.
